How to Heal After Plastic Surgery
Know what to expect in terms of recovery.  Some plastic surgery only takes a few days to recover (the smaller ones), while others take weeks or even months. It is important to talk to your plastic surgeon before the procedure to know what to expect in relation to your recovery. It will probably affect many other areas of your life, such as: On your working life and the ability to go out with friends. Therefore, it is important to be able to plan this.

Follow the recovery plan of your plastic surgeon.  It is important that you follow the specific recovery instructions that may include:
Taking medication to combat pain and swelling and to promote healing.
Icing of the affected area as needed.
Increase the affected area as needed to reduce the swelling.
Avoid direct sunlight during the healing phase.

Effective use of "drains" (tubing) sometimes used to drain excess fluid in the initial stages of healing, for example, after a cosmetic surgery on the chest.
Follow your doctor's instructions for effective use of the drain. It should indicate how often the drain must be emptied and whether the exiting liquid should be measured.
Timely participation in follow-up appointments.
To ensure optimal wound healing and to ensure that no complications or infections develop, it is important for your doctor to check things and get his or her professional opinion. In this way, problems with healing can be treated and resolved so that they no longer become a problem later on.
Ask your doctor about taking medication.  It is important that you tell your doctor the usual medications or supplements that you usually take. Some medications, such as blood thinners or aspirin, can hinder healing and lead to bleeding and swelling. There are also some natural remedies and supplements that can be affected.
As long as you explain everything to your doctor about what you are taking, you can assess the safety of your medication and make sure that nothing comes in conflict with wound healing or worsens bleeding.
The doctor will tell you which medicines need to be discontinued before surgery, when they need to be discontinued and when they need to be taken back. Other medicines may need to be continued directly through the operation.
Be careful and give your body time to recover. For example, do not try to return to your normal routine or be too active early after a plastic surgery. Over-exertion can lead to complications and slow down the healing process.
Do not exercise until your doctor tells you it is okay to restore your normal physical activity. Training too early can prolong healing by causing swelling or bleeding or breaking a cut.
When you learn how to heal after a plastic surgery, do not get upset if you are swollen or swollen for a week or more after the procedure. Healing times for plastic surgery vary for each procedure and patient.
